United 86 (EWR-PVG on a 772) delayed 1.5 hours for maintenance. We pushed back around 11:40 and expect to arrive 75 minutes late.

They had to replace the windshield. So far so good.

I would almost always pick the widebody over a narrowbody TATL, and I would think DL business is superior to UA, but I don't have experience on DL. Of course the convenience of a non-stop on the way...

Try Secaucus, near the Harmon Meadow complex. Bus service into Port Authority and free shuttles to the train station (15-20 min drive, 14 minutes to New York Penn).

I don't recommend the busses...

You'll get PQD towards status if you book through United. That may or may not matter to you, but really should be the deciding factor.

United is going to credit you based on the Lufthansa fare...
