I am not 100% convinced that the lady helping me from Marriott HQ was correct but she claimed ONLY years in which one earned 50nights or more counted... so that would not count gifted status,...

Just received a reply from Marriott customer care stating they are adding the missing 2 nights into my account in 5 days.

They did not say anything about my missing points so I replied to them...

Hopefully the issue will be sorted out soon, I too am waiting on a guaranteed solution before I book anymore nights :)

So, this is a first for me.

I am in the middle of a 6 night stay. The app informed me today is check out day, but I still have 3 days to go :)

The app has me now checked in one day later then...
