Just noticed this when Googling the property. I guess it didn't survive the bushfires?

Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island was one of the finest luxury properties in all of Australia-Pacific....

Nobody wants an ultra luxe resort when they visit Kyoto - they want traditional luxury like The Suiran and onsen.
I fear Aman will be closing this one before mid 2020s.
