(8/7/2014) HA #51, JFK-HNL, made a stop at PDX. Anyone know why?

I see HA 51 from JFK to HNL diverted to Portland ( PDX ) today.

They are back in the air now enroute to HNL.

Maybe they stopped for fuel ?

Most of the time I flew standby, I didn't make a reservation. Got a room when I got there.

Well, you must not fly thru DFW in the Spring and Summer. Those frequent thunderstorms really screw things up.

SFO has got to be at the top of the list. The fog!!! Runways too close together...

I don't mind the slamming of the OHB on the ground as much as in the air, particularly on a long ( 10 hour ) flight. Both pax and Flight Attendants are guilty of this.
