I'd probably go for 14/15A based on the extra privacy afforded by the wall and hope that the bar noise was not too bad. It's a bit of a 50/50 decision: privacy vs. potential noise. However, given...

The seats opposite the wall (K at the front, A at the rear) are more private and better in my view. The plane will normally board and disembark from 2L (middle) if there is a single jetway although...

Having done the trip we ended up going landside between terminals both ways... I did question a DUB staffer about any form of T2->T1 airside connection but she said to use the landside walkway.

DUB T1 to T2 connection

I'm not too familiar with DUB. Am taking advantage of a cheap ex-DUB Emirates fare and positioning to DUB via BA.

I believe BA arrives at T1 and EK departs at T2. Is there an equivalent of...

Each ticket was just over 5K euros (fare basis AX1YPIE1). First Saver fare with a minimum 5 day advance purchase. Ex-LON was 5K gbp so a big difference.

Making the most of First Class

I'm about to take my first ever Emirates flights in First Class, flying DUB-DXB-MEL-AKL and return (via BNE) courtesy of some cheap-ish ex-DUB fares and the strength of the GBP against the Euro.

Not much difference between A & K on the A333 apart from position of the sun, so you might want to select on this basis. Mid-cabin is fine: the seats towards the rear of UC can be impacted from the...

I rather doubt any update, thank goodness. The A346s will be replaced over the next few years and there is plenty of life left in the on-board UC product, particularly given that (a) VS have had lots...

Glad you've got a better solution: with a 13 hour layover you can hopefully get out of the airport as well as making good use of the LHR Clubhouse.
