Thank you Happy and your make a good point. Although I am Platinum on AA, I could still use the UR points to book AA flights, and still get AA Elite miles for the flight at the same time of course.

Yes, using the formula given elsewhere, my Chase account page says payment due Jan 6, so would mean close on Jan 9th, meaning first close would be Dec. 9th, so I think I'm good.
