Also any of the asian carriers charge $300-$400 to book using miles for a roundtrip to USA FYI. So you should put your miles into UA mileage plus eve nwhen flying Singapore or Asiana or Air china fyi.

not to access airside and tickets are cancelled days before travel if not weeks before. it is done to hold tickets and if a sale comes up which is cheaper in price than using miles.
