no ..not true. refer to post #7 by frugal flyer. ALWAYS cheaper at the airport. Unless you want to use miles or $9 dollar fare club.

A flight attendant responded once about this question. A personal (free) carry-on sized luggage (16x14x12) has to be able to FIT under your seat...it does not say it has to STAY under your seat....
