I'm curious how you selected Schwab over Ameriprise.

(I've been a very happy Fidelity customer, but now that I live overseas I don't need much from them, so losing this benefit is reason enough to...

To repeat what's already been said: at the W you're paying for location. Though the Andaz mentioned above is also a fine location.

Keep in mind that Amsterdam is a walking city, so being able to...

On our KOA-SEA flight, the FA offered us the meal packs from coach. She didn't originally say "no charge" explicitly, but never asked for payment.

All four of us were quite content, and feeling...

It's certainly reasonable for us to bring our own meals onboard. But we're row 1 and having to store what we've brought and eat it cold is not quite a first-class experience!

I'm not nearly this...

Who do I have to talk to?

I bought F-class reservations for 4 from Seattle to Kona. And a pair of F-class seats from STL to SEA. (Taking the in-laws from the Midwest to Hawaii for their anniversary.)

All four of us are...

Thanks! I knew you all would have an explanation. I've been working in design for too long, sometimes it doesn't cross my mind that something so simple could be implemented so poorly.

Indeed I...

Why am I in first? Magic kiosk experience.

I had an odd experience this morning that doesn't reconcile with my understanding of MVP Gold benefits. Maybe someone here can clarify for me.

Purchased ticket about two weeks ago, one-way...

I had an experience that may be related, with a trip booked in November for round trip in January. It's unusual for me to book more than a few weeks in advance, so I may not have been paying enough...

year-old thread revival

My regular destinations change, but generally I find DL is a viable option. I have several coworkers in SEA who are happy with other programs.

I'm not taking a principled stand on "airline food",...

Maybe not "most" people, but I would abandon ship pretty quickly if any of my regular routes made vegetarian eating a hassle.

I'd love to get into a rant about how silly it is to worry about...

Got upgraded, once.

Flying MUC-ATL in May, I had a boarding pass (with my AS number, which is MVPG) that said "gold" or something (sorry, don't remember details) and was paged to the counter prior to boarding and...

Question Intra-europe miles

Last minute deal for SEA-PDX?

I just realized the MVP Gold challenge didn't start until 1/15, which means I'm one segment shy of making it. So, I thought, I'll just fly to Portland for my birthday dinner tomorrow.

Any tips...

This plane's following me.

Pretty sure I was on this SEA-SFO on 1/8, and am certain it was ours last Thur, 1/14 SEA-LAS. Wife was with me on that latter flight and we were both a bit put off, sharing Bill's cultural opinion. ...

No respite for me. AS says it should be simple: just ask AA to uncredit my early flights and then they'll claim them. AA, of course, says no. Which only reminds me why I've switched to Alaska.

Question I'm a dumb flyer

I'll need 13,557 more for Gold, but unfortunately racked up 18,075 on AA before switching to Alaska mid-year (prompted by some long Delta flights).

I'm new to this game (first job I've had with...
