Yea this is what happened I tried 3 times myself to swipe it with no luck then the guy took the card and tried it himself, I'll give it another try tomorrow.

A few years ago I used to process the ATM...

A few years ago I used to process the ATM deposits at the bank I work at and we always had non-customers deposit into our ATM, not sure about other banks policies though.
