For the past several years I have just been showing up about 5 minutes before boarding and walking around during connections. I guess it's now worth paying $59 occasionally rather than $650 or less...

in room safe comment

Yes. These safes are very easy to break into, but still slightly better than just leaving things on the desk or in your bag.

Chicken sashimi

Agreed, it tastes great. I have a hard time eating it though due to texture which I have been trained since a toddler not to eat.

Inflatable footrest for bulkhead longhaul?

I don't know why you couldn't. I use my carryon as a footrest on the bulkhead all the time.

Consolidated "Delayed/Cancelled" International Flights (2015)

922 EWR-LHR on may 19 is delayed yet again. They are telling people they can deboard and we are supposedly leaving in 20 minutes. The competence of this airline is highly questionable.

Consolidated "Delayed/Cancelled" International Flights (2015)

The way that EWR deals with 9 hour long delays like 922 (EWR-LHR may 19) is quite frankly appalling, I'm finding out first hand. From what I can ascertain, it seems as if it's the flyers fault.

Did you know reservations booked aren't immediate?

This is very good to know. While it wouldn't impact me most times, if I am trying to grab a hotel near an airport due to massive flight cancellations I will be sure to call the local number.
