My office is about 15 miles south of Paine Field from where the 787 took off. We often see planes from Boeing when they take off but alas, the 787 took off to the north today. :(

Both Seattle and Vancouver are wonderful cities to spend time in but the airport facilities at SEA are limited. I'd pick Vancouver for the flight.

BTW the freeway along the waterfront in Seattle...
