we are hoping to rent a car on 4/9 in St Louis and return it on 4/13 in Kansas City. So far, the best I've been able to do is the $150 one-way charge with Avis that brings the total to about $325...

It's a 500% improvement over the old Smith terminal, but nowhere near as nice as the McNamara. Restaurant choices are better, it's very light. But it's a very long haul to the far gates.

The Marriott in Ypsilanti is not luxury, but it's very nice. It's on a golf course, and right off the highway, so it's a quick trip in to Ann Arbor.
