VIPR teams are made up with FAM's for the most part. FAM's make a pretty nice salary plus 25% of their base pay in LEAP. FAM's should be flying not doing ground jobs.

Slowdowns are usually due to the xray operator creating a short wait on the exit end of the belt. Might as well make sure your kit is in the machine before proceeding through the screening machine.

Caterers must fall under TSA's Trusted Shipper program if other than TSA employees are doing the inspection. Not sure I fully trust that setup.
