I flew CNF-GRU on LATAM and then same-day NRSA'd on GRU-MIA as a D1T. All I had to do was show the agent my LATAM boarding pass and I was good to go.

Those are put out in case of delays. I guess AA had those specific carts out for the displaced misconnects that would make their way to the service center. Now when AA has put out a cart for a flight...

The policy as written says free drinks are tied to the seat regardless of the how the seat was acquired. If you sit in MCE you get free drinks.

Not quite, while the CVR isn't accessed that often, the DFDR is downloaded on a regular basis. This is to facilitate troubleshooting of mechanical issues that arise.
