Well to be fair, the OP never said “Marriott” is instituting this fee. Just that he got approval to add it at the hotels he allegedly owns.

As has been stated, there is inherently more risk in a toiletry dispenser than a towel rod. You don’t really touch the towel rod. And you can wash your hands immediately after touching other things...
