My point was the food itself cost less than the logistics of getting the box to you. So why they offer the contents they do is not the biggest cost. So it's weird . Thats all. I'm kinda of agreeing...

Nobody pays that to get a sandwich. Lots other factors at play. The food itself is just one very small component of the flight.

I wouldn't fly any airline at all for that money, just for the food....

I haven't seen any evidence that the food offerings are related to cost cutting. But why they offer such poor food on long haul and short haul, excluding bands 1 and 2, is still a mystery to me.

If you flying out first, then why not just try and give them a call. I think as you are flying first outbound you qualify to call the you first agent.

They won't be able to priotise the upgrade...

I'm not excusing BA at all for their LH food offerings and bands 3 and 4 btw. I think they are poor, especially when you get to an eleven hour flight....

What happens if you lose your phone. Computer dies on you. Can't get through to BA. Your service provider goes down. Etc etc.

I would leave it till 24 hours...
