Even with that CDP, you're 2 hours past the 4-hour grace period. Usually, >1 or 2 hours is the same as a full day charge. So you'll either need to shorten the rental to <28 hours or pay for 2 days.

Unfortunately, AA doesn't fly to ANC 'til 6/3. They had both ORD and DFW to ANC in May and that's what I had booked. Had to move to AS once AA got rid of the early season flights.

1. XXX-ORD
2. ORD-SEA on AS
3. SEA-ANC on AS, the one I was rebooked on automatically

Times/seats/etc aren't ideal, but still...

Day 1: XXX-LAX-ANC. Flight 1 AA. Flight 2 AS.

Alaska just killed the LAX-ANC direct and they put me XXX-LAX (as planned, arriving at 10PM)....
