OTR uses vegetable juice to color it so the color will remain stable on the shelf despite the acid of the lemon. Because of this it comes out more pink than pale violet like a true Aviation.

That was my first reaction when I saw the pic... I think what bothers me the most is that the OTR Aviations I've bought in the past were actually close in color to what they were supposed to be.
