I just did the same today for 2x WLG-AKL-WLG weekend 29-30 Aug. All oneway bookings.

Had P class fares ($109) at ungodly hours out/back planning on the free change to get on the preferred flights....

Just noted that for an upcoming WLG-CHC-WLG 22-24 Aug trip that all fares appears to be set to the same level. Likewise for the following week WLG-AKL-WLG.

It almost seems like AirNZ has decided...
