UPDATE: I called Alaska Airlines and to my surprise they reserved the exit row for us free of charge! What a nice change from BA, and they picked the phone up within several seconds.

Hi, does any one know the way to reserve a seat on Alaska Airlines?

I have an interesting itinerary - 4 different airlines (AA, BA, Hawaiian and Alaska) all booked on ba.com, as LHR to Big Island...

OK, sorted, happy ending - got exits rows on LHR-LAX and LAX-LHR

my contingency plan was to upgrade to WTP but prefer exit rows and save money.

HAD TO CALL in the end though, looks like a bug.

Grabbed exit seats on BA lhr-lax but I am unable to pay.
When I click Continue to enter card details it just goes to the top of summary screen (no error messages, validation passed)

Is this not something to do with additional security screening at the gate? I had the same message on recent LHR-LAX. Was later approached at the gate to go downstairs for additional security check...

I rented in Japan previously from a small outfit and had no issues on UK licence + international. I found Japan one of the easier places to drive surprisingly, even big cities were less stressful...

I find this flabbergasting. Just a few months ago I rented from Avis Taiwan. We are not talking about a 3rd world country in the middle of nowhere. How is this even possible?
