Not much use?

interesting - thanks - I am having terrible trouble using this benefit. As for Admirals Club - I always seem to get free booze and food anyway. I am very frustrated with this so-called Amex perk...

FIJI seems to have pretty low baggage allowances.
1. Any break for One World Elite - I can't see any
2. How serious are they about the one bag and 7kg (? maybe it's 8) carry on.
3. They don't...

Alaska Mixed Mileage Award and Club Entry

So this won't work I'm sure, but I gave my son a Biz award on AS for Fiji LAX-NAN-SYD. Biz was only available NAN-SYD. He's in coach LAX-NAN. Stupid you might think, but no coach award was available....

This thread is confusing me and I thought I understood the system pretty well. How does it detect where you live? CC Bank/currency of billing / FF address? / what you tell them when you book?

Easy and a rip off - is it even technically allowed?

I have never done this at check-in as it seems such a rip off, but I never really studied it - buying miles at check in is the least of my concerns. I just looked - $81 for 2500 miles on one...

So what to do with this benefit?

I know this has been covered a ton on times but I am really confused as to what to do for 2019. This deal is no good for gift cards. It's no good for baggage as I get free bags as a life time...

Yes and no

Indeed sometimes the agent can and sometimes the agent can't. And it used to be (I'm getting out of date) that sites like Expedia who presumably source from Matrix would offer the fares. Then you...

Married segments -

UA does this with paid tickets - can't find the inventory in separate searches and put them together. This whole game has become cat and mouse and I no longer do it often enough to be a decent cat.

That is fortunate - I have been thinking on this hard through the various posts. I would have been very wary of turning up with an invalid routing. The problem with these alliances is that they...

Useless I guess. I use my AA Sapphire number in BA bookings to get all the perks like the Club and seats. Correct? Even on Avios bookings.

I've noticed this too. One wonders if they have basically given up and ripped up the supply/demand curve math. It might make sense to charge a fortune and go for the lazy. Or maybe because...

BA Baggage for OW Sapphires

I'm assuming, and hope, that this is a computer issue. My bookings in BA Economy as a AA Platinum (Oneworld Saphire) for AUS-LHR and NCL-LHR (sic) are showing 2 bags at 23kg - but the BA phone reps...
