Fully aware of the fare codes earning 0 miles. I mostly book PE but for these short flights they are usually just in economy (H) fare.

Yes you are right though to maximize EQD/RDM the JAL PE far would better for that.

Seems like this is still a issue. I purchased P fare and used SWU for both outbound/return on LAX-HND. It got posted as C fare. Called and was fixed in 5 minutes.
