I don't really get why LCAR isn't just wall to wall XTS really. That's the sort of thing you want when you book a Luxury. Then make GXAR a reservable class as they've obviously got more of them than...

I don't mind the ATS but you are right, it isn't a luxury car either, it's a 3 Series rival. National seem to believe that luxury is about badge as much as it's about the actual car - I once almost...

You are not ordering a Mercedes, you are ordering a class of car of which the Mercedes is an example of the type you can expect - ie, a small executive saloon.

They'll have a range but it's pot luck what you'll get. If they actually have any LCAR's you'll get a Cadillac ATS, XTS or perhaps a Lincoln. What is more likely is they won't have any LCAR's and...

This seems ridiculous - I rent for 2-3 weeks at a time and I've never experienced this with, say, National. Is this really a thing?

Surely 'excessive miles' depends on the duration of the rental?...

I flew the 777-300 twice last year in Y.

I paid for a pair of the 2's at the front of Y on the way out and we went in the middle block of the 3-4-3 on the way back.

It was absolutely fine there...

Why is the BA 787 so bad? Other operators seem to have gone 3-3-3 with the 787 with 44cm seats rather than the apparent 40cm in the BA 787.

Or are all other operators 787's just as bad?

Last time I picked up at LAX I had a choice between a Merc C250 or an Infiniti Q50. Neither were proper luxury cars, both tagged GXAR.

Are we absolutely sure then that it's only rows 19-29 which are 30" pitch and the entire rest of Y is 31"?

So, say, row 35HIJ would be 31" yet 25HIJ is 30"?

Ouch, didn't expect that!

1060 return in WT now - for dates outside of summer (ie, pre 21st June or post 17th Aug)

Filling an A380 at 1000 a ticket sounds... optimistic?

Probably because doing it his way meant if the midsize selection sucked he could take a fullsize, if he'd rented midsize and they only had junk on the lot he'd be out of luck.

Difficult to see why anyone would bother then as a Premium is a 300 Touring and the only difference is 20 inch wheels, black trim and some nicer seats. Very strange categorisation there by...
