On Business - Upgrading from Biz to First

If I look at google flights I can book DUB-LHR-JFK return for £1500 over Christmas. https://goo.gl/flights/Uu9Zn
I also see that those flights have First upgrade availability.
So put the same...

On the end of an ex-Dub USA itinerary- the BA834...

On the end of an ex-Dub USA itinerary- the BA834 has been cancelled tomorrow and I’ve been moved to the next flight which leaves me with a back to back to LHR which I know is doable, but not ideal....

Chaos yesterday with 1/2 the flights cancelled and rest significantly delayed - down to one runway because of wind. I imagine a lot of folk were moved around - could bring a B2B to its knees fairly...

Flew 4 AA flights last week under their new scheme - no problem what so ever. Very clear Comms...

Yes - the Sky Bet app pops up and takes over my browser on my iPhone and goes into the App Store - Over and over again. Guessing this is a UK thing. Makes FT unusable.

As data point the same applies to BA Avios too - my sister's expired earlier this month.

Email to customer services centre was a no - they are lost..

Call to the service centre was a yes....

A colleague of mine did similar on invol. downgrade from J to WP+ claiming at the LHR desk that he was now too tired to do his Dublin meeting - they pulled his luggage at LHR and sent him home.

Last time it happened to me my travelling companion was moved to a first seat (GGL) and I (Silver then) managed to bag the last free seat when the seat map opened up - about 24 hours out.

Check your booking on BA6871 - most likely you'll be booked in to a business fare so will earn 40TPs (although will travel first). Should have gone for the AA code for 60TPs.
