I thought that the e-visa was something new, even for U.S. passport holders. But alas, it is not meant to be. Not available to most in Western Hemisphere except Mexicans.

I'm afraid of being labeled as an American.

Europeans can always spot us Americans. Usually 20lb overweight and wearing sweats or shorts and flip flops on a flight. So I dress smart casual. Cords and a polo.

Avianca doesn't want to outsource their flights. They have to because of defective engines on the 787. That's likely more of a safety issue...
