If your LHR-XXX flight has been cancelled then you are due a full refund under EU261. They’ve refunded me for a flight from London. That was the outbound flight but EU law doesn’t differentiate.

If your LHR-LAX flight has been cancelled you’re due a full refund from AirNZ under EU261. There shouldn’t be any deductions from this under and circumstances. Perhaps point this out to flight centre?

In practice it shouldn’t matter, as the ex-LHR flight is subject to EU261 which provides the same coverage as the DOT regulations in the case of cancellation.

As NZ cancelled NZ1 leaving London NZ we’re legally required to give you a full refund under EC261 Article 8. Both the EU and the UK’s CAA have clarified that in the last week.
