I think that one was actually on takeoff from Juneau, likely flight 61 then, which landed in Yakutat for inspection. https://blog.alaskaair.com/alaska-airlines/flying-fish/

AS66 in YAK/hit a bear

Apparently AS66 hit and killed a bear on the runway during landing in Yakutat Saturday 14 NOV. Photo attached. Looks like N615AS.

Poor bear :(

Looks like flight 107 added a stop and picked up...

Hi - you will need to book two OW tickets, one ANC-JNU and the other JNU-SEA. Look for either flights 61/66 for the run through Cordova/Yakutat, or 64/65 through Ketchikan, Petersburg, and Wrangell....

Yesterday was the last day of service for QX in AK. N452QX ferried ANC-PDX yesterday and 450 scheduled for today. Although I look forward to more reliable winter operations, I thank all of the QX...

I have had the exact same thing happen on two overnight ANC-PDX flights. Both times I sent feedback to aslistens, but no reply. It used to be much easier to sleep :(
