And shoe polish. TSA pulled me aside one time for shoe polish and the machine did not like it at all. Since then I don’t polish my shoes right before heading off to the airport.

How does it look in the app after you sign up for the promotion? If there are in-progress arrows you should be all set. I’ve booked flights before I registered and they’ve counted in past promotions....

I don’t think any preferred seats have more legroom, they are normal economy seats located closer
to the front. I don’t think the seat map is a correct indicator of available legroom.
