Agree with Mr Tickets. Don't forget to save those ticket numbers! A good idea for any ticket purchased at any time for any airline. Has never failed me.
More important, though, is a conversation...

What's really killing the overloaded telephone process is a contradictory sentence when one goes to chance, expecting to retain the value of the ticket for the future, but with a "cancelation fee"...

Was surprised Bastian weighed in with a fairly compromising, somewhat intelligent post in the public domain. What I synthsize from the main posts on this thread (a few of which were mine) is that...

Amen, brother flyer. This is the essence of the problem. I hadn't thought about the expiring deadline for SWU's. As an aside, my ability for using such SWU's had been close to zilch, the past few...

Answering reservations phone: AA vs DL

My wife and I have been both DL Diamond and AA EXP for years. We fly both a lot, usually in paid J or discount F. We try to use the internet whenever we can, but at times need to call in to make...

Most intelligent and believable post on the thread yet. May well be what really happened. DL had 4 flights going out at the time, all to its hubs: ATL, MSP, SLC, LAX, and all did the same thing...

egg on DL at SJC (or no de-icing available)

Rough day for DL at SJC this AM. Our 6:15 departure to SLC had everyone kicked off after being boarded. Pilots saw ice on the wings that had settled overnight. They had 3 de-icing trucks, but all...

Well, I could use some convoy points for a trip to Madrid next January. I think I need about 100,000 Bonvoy points to do the job. How many AAdvantage miles will I need?

Well it's a "big deal" to me today, Sunday Sept 8. My flight from DTW is over 5 hrs delayed, as are the 3 behind it. They are 2,079 flight miles each.

SFO runway closure affecting DL on Sunday Sept 8

Well, it's happened, and we all knew it would. Waiting to get DTW-SFO today and the last 3 of the 5 day's flights are now showing 5+ hour delays. ATC is what they tell the pax, but it has been...

Appreciate the guidance counseling, but rest assured, this wasn't a "crybaby" post. Intent was to share that flying, probably on all the major carriers, is becoming a crapshoot. I don't care about...

Deterioration of service SFO-ORD on AA

I have not paid too much attention to this route (SFO-ORD) since I often fly out of SJC to ORD. It is now summer. AA is only running 5 non-stops on the route, one of them a red-eye. Fortunately,...

Well, in bloc0102's mine, he thought it was. In the spirit of Flyertalk, and helping other flyers, I'd let it go.
