Not AA, but one day I did a segment run LAX-LAS-LAX-LAS-LAX. Got to know the FAs pretty well and hit 4 different lounges.

I'm just one data point, but no, I have never been made to wait. Member for a few years and primarily use LAX, JFK and SEA, if that helps.

I've definitely jumped the PP line as an AL member at JFK (pre-COVID). That--as well as the same for paid F--just seems equitable to me.

I do not. I agree it makes logical/courtesy sense, but the FAs regulate the overheads. Otherwise, it's subject to abuse by lame passengers (as stated above).
