But travel will be significantly more challenging/stressful for the near future, so getting the last 60k miles will be much harder than before, when I could have done 4 low season roundtrips...

That would probably depend on the tour company you choose. I suspect a good one will figure out a way to let you do that, assuming the Lhasa-Kathmandu flight resumes next year.
