I'd be steaming at this one and I've had similar experiences. I have no problem with the downgrade, sometimes it happens, and it sucks but equipment changes or errors cause it and you get over it....

Have been in MIA, LAX, JFK and LHR. All are much better than normal Admirals Club IMHO, but thats about it. A normal QF club (see BNE or SYD) or BA (LHR) is much better in terms of food quality IMO....

Don't believe so. I tried a couple of years ago and was told no, but havent tried since as I only use AV as on domestic routes (and a very few international ones) I cant use AA/OW on. Call and ask.
