The Japanese version, I don´t understand a word. But the Thai version says: from BKK. Doesn´t seem to be ALL SAS pax.

The Japanese version tells the same, between April and May, return ticket between Tokyo and Copenhagen, it's for travelers from Japan...

For flights involving BKK, is this only good if doing BKK-CPH-BKK on one ticketed itinerary or would two separate one-way tickets of BKK-CPH and CPH-BKK issued from BKK also work? Is it a requirement that the onward (or return) flights from CPH be SK-coded?

Thanks a lot for that useful info. I was booking myself on BA usually from LHR to ARN, but given that I don't eat the food on the BA flight and that it's 25% earning of miles usually on both of them, I might as well get the 24 hour Visit Stockholm cards anyway.

If I take up this promotion (which is running again) but my flight arrives after the tourist office closes, would I be right in thinking I can pick it up the next day instead?

Being a 24hr card, I assume it becomes valid from when I pick it up, not when my flight arrives?

It's 24hrs from when you first use it - pickup time or fligt arrival does not factor in so you should be good...

Where on SAS's website is this promotion to be found?

Thanks in advance.

http://www.flysas.com/en/it/Destinations/Stockholm/
http://www.flysas.com/en/it/Destinat...ckholm-Card-2/

At ARN, they are open from 6 a.m. to midnight.

http://www.flysas.com/en/hk/Promotio...ee-City-Card1/

so that's ARN, CPH and OSL covered.

So for this promotion does the ticket have to be issued as an SK ticket number or can it be issued on other airline ticket stock as long as it includes SK flights to and from the above cities? The promotion terms seem to indicate it must be an SK ticket but perhaps it works slightly different in practice?

The promo is back...

http://www.flysas.com/en/us/unconnec...fer/?vst=true/

Although I did pay with an AMEX card, it doesn't say you need to present one; just your e-ticket itinerary.

I'll reprint the wife and kids' itineraries and bring them along next week when I'm at ARN. Will make for a nice tourist day before we head back to the US.

Thanks for the update. I might have some use for this too ... at least if they don't make a fuss over the ticket being issued by BD, UA, or US.

I have Amex cards too but I never pay for my tickets with them anymore.

Fair warning...

The Arlanda Visitor's Center has zero clue about this promotion. They told me to go upstairs to SAS and ask about it. SAS Ticketing told me it's a valid promotion and to go down to the Arlanda Vistor's Center to pick one up. I eventually got two cards (even one booked through UA), but it took a while. As far as the three employees working there are aware, I'm the first one to ask for this promotion this campaign.

Congratulations on getting the cards. I ran into the same problem yesterday morning, and even showed them the SAS webpage that shows the promotion. The agents said there was such a promotion a while ago, and it's over and there's no notice to them there's another one. I was not sure if I could eventually get the cards anyways, since my tickets are also on UA, so I did not argue and paid for 2 cards at 395SEK each. Oh well.

On the other hand, today I had complete luck with the Copenhagen cards. The agent asked me to show her my AE card, but did not question about whether the ticket is on UA or SAS. Also, she called someone to confirm I could get 2 cards, since my itinerary is showing 2 persons, but only I have the AE card, my wife does not. And we got 2 cards eventually.

Stockholm card is of course much more expensive than the Copenhagen card, but we are happy at least we get one of the two

Were you also on SK946 on July 3?

I was at the Arlanda Visitor's Center around 9:30am. I also brought up the Amex webpage on my laptop showing the campaign.

Yes, we were indeed on the flight (seat 1H & G). My credit card receipt shows Jul 4 8:16am, so I must have arrived there much earlier. And the reason we wanted to get the card was to join the bike tour, which by itself would have costs SEK295.

Oh well, hope our experience helps other FTers get the cards in the future.
