Folks, I'm on the road an have had little time to update this thread. You are not forgotten, I will get the "I'm interested" list updated this weekend.

Also, I should have some more news on Monday.

Thank you for your patience.

Well, count me in subject to availability..

I'd probably do the full tour from/to OSL, depending on what feeder flights I find. In winter we even have a direct flight from INN to OSL

I still have fond memories of the ARN do - it would be great to meet up again with everyone.
Please count me in, pending space, price and date.

Just wanted to give everyone some updates today.

I just updated the list, we are now well over 200 on the interested list ^^

I am in dialog with SAS to make some adjustments so we can get the ball rolling.

I have also contacted other airlines and it looks very positive from another European Star carrier so far.

So in the very near future, I will hopefully be able to present an even better DO than expected.

Who know? This might turn out to be a Star/Airbus DO instead of just a SK/Airbus DO.

Either way, there will be pick up at least in two Scandinavian cities.

Thank you for your patience, more to come very soon!!

If you can arrange sponsorship from Star Alliance, including free flights (in J or F of course! ) to the Do from any location on the Star network (and return), then I promise to build a 30 foot bronze statue of you which I will worship at least a dozen times a day.

I just stumbled onto this thread (thank you FT front page latest posts section ^) and would be very interested in this. As I'm sure Mrs. todorovic will be interested too so please sign me up as todorovic +1 for now (pending further details). It looks like you may want to get A380 for this DO and give us a first hand experience of actually flying in one of those birds.

Great to have you on board, Gents.

Well, I have some news. I guess my last post gave it away, but here it is:

Most likely, this will be a Star DO instead of an exclusive SAS DO.

While I have already written back to SAS, no reply. I have also contacted Lufthansa who has welcomed us with open arms, they see a real value in this very positive event.

Oliver and I are heading to NYC to meet with them in the middle of February to plan the event closely. For you SAS fan's, don't be discouraged! We will of course have a Scandinavian theme, but the DO charter flights will most likely take place on board a Lufthansa A320 or A321, but SAS will of course be an integral part on our OSL and ARN stops

We are looking at the following program:

Thursday November 5th
0600 Champagne breakfast in FRA
0700 FRA-OSL flight
0800 Champagne breakfast in OSL for members starting there.
0850 Arrive OSL, parking at the SAS hangar
Breakfast continues, Ola Strand (head of SAS operations in Norway will be invited)
1000 OSL-ARN flight
1050 Arrive OSL, parking at the SAS hangar
Meeting with the SAS management. President and CEO Mats Jonsson will be invited
1200 Main DO flight ARN-TLS
1430 Arrice TLS
The BIG Airbus DO, hopefully a tour of the FIRST LH A380!!
1730 TLS-FRA
1830 Arrive FRA

DO Dinner

Friday November 6th
A day at LHs main base

For those of you traveling from the US, we are all trying to fly together on LH403 EWR-FRA on Tuesday November 3rd. We will get great prices in Y, C and F. We will also block a section of the plane for FTers only.

Thanks to LH for helping us out and thanks for the parts of SAS who wants this to happen!

Will keep you posted when we make progress.

Oh wow. ^^^

FRA start and end greatly simplifies travel to and from the do (but now I have more options to consider).
