Amenity Kit on SK?

flying long haul business on SK and want to know whether they provide amentiy kits on board?

Yes they do. Quite decent ones as well...

The SK amenity kit contains all the standard items you'd expect.

The really nice thing is the design of the amenity bag. In fact, you get two bags - one of which is a sturdy, 100 ml size, transparent one. It has completely replaced zip-loc bags for carrying my toiletries when travelling.

Note that SK has reduced the contents of the c-class amenity kits. Deisgn of the actual bag is the same, but it comes in different colors (green, blue etc), previously it was all orange.
It now only contains moisturizer, lip balm and tooth paste. :td:

Just curious - what was in the amenity kits previously. I found absolutely everything you'd get at other airlines in there...

Agree that the bag is really useful when travelling but the size is actually 1000 ml (1 liter). Sorry! Couldn't resist.

Hopefully these restrictions are to disappear which would make the bag less useful for that purpose. But good for other things.

In fact, I've managed to fit all my toiletries in the transparent bag! Works like a charm. And no security check yet has complained that it's not just liquids I have in the "liquid bag".

Great idea by SAS.

Same here... although the security guy at HEL looked the bag a long time before deciding that everything is ok. My toothbrush must have looked very scary...

Yep... I think that this is one of the best ideas for a long time.

In my experience of about 150 flights over the last couple of years, HEL security is the most stringent of them all.

So good in fact it might tempt me to make an SK bus flight in 2009 to pick up one. Haven't flown SK in years due to their otherwise terrible service compared to the competition.

Hi

You can find some pictures from SAS business in this thread http://forum.scanair.no/showthread.php?t=38972 . I just used SAS from Stockholm to Bangkok on business and I have posted a trip report (in Norwegian I'm afraid) and some pictures in the thread posted above.
