Upgrades at NRT?

I have booked economy extra on CPH-NRT return, and intend to upgrade to C at the gate in CPH. Is it possible to do the same in NRT, or do I need to get vouchers before I leave? ( I am EBG)

I believe it's possible to do check-in/gate upgrades on all SAS intercontinental flights without the certificates. The staff actually make a call to check that you have enough points in your EB account.
