Booking engine errors

Often when I use the booking engine on the SAS.se homepage I get errors. I can get the normal prices but when the booking gets a little more complex like for example involving KF or JZ flights I often get a -4xxxxxx error. Do you think this will someday be fixed or do these trips have to be booked over phone?

I have a friend at SAS who told me about the problem and why it appears. It mostly show up when one tries to book a connecting flight (or codeshare), like KLR-ARN-OSL-FRA (this was the problem I had). The campaign fare system shows that there actually are seats available, but once it comes to confirmation its not. According to my friend its a certain booking class that is booked and when the system tries to create the complete itinerary it failes due to lack of free seats on one or more legs. This is no problem if you call the internet support, they will help you to book in a different booking class (and they honor the fare rate if you tell them what rate the site said).

SAS says they are working on this but no solution yet.

Unfortunately their new official policy seems to be to charge the telephone service charge for this though. Even though it is a problem with the internet site, they say that as long as a human is involved the official policy is now to charge a higher service charge (i.e. also when using vouchers at the airports...). Generally though SAS people are very nice and service minded (best in Europe in my opinion) and do it without recalculating the service charge. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I am so tired of the SAS booking enginge. All the time I get new errors. Now when I tried to book the ARN-HEL it said "It is not possible to travel between these two cities". Earlier today it worked fine. Nor can I book a youth ticket between VXO-ARN, "No available fares" it says.
I like the way the enginge is constructed but I'm am tired of all the errors, over and over..

If you canīt book a youth ticket on a certain departure with the standard youth booking engine, then its simply sold out in that booking class... Nothing to do about it http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Dont know if one gets priority on wating lists for youth tickets with a EBS/EBG??

Of course, but in this case I happen to be pretty sure that that is not the case since I could get several suggestions before. It seems SAS booking engine is out of order right now, I get "No flying between this cities" all the time now.
