Pandion on QI

Was any of you booked on the QI flight ARN BLL tonight 11. june? I managed to get the last C seat available earlier today (wonder if they had any Y seat for sale...) and at the gate, it seemed that they had a configuration change which meant they had to reroute 10 pax on SK via CPH due to a smaller aircraft. They choosed the unfortunates by boarding number (those who checked in last). Among those, a group of 4 persons and one of them asking if his pandion card could be of any help. Answer of the SAS agent: it is QI => no.

As a side note, C class in QI => no fast track at ARN. But i noticed that there were 2 person less in the queue in the "slow track" :)

Strange. Didn't they ask for volunteers? Normally, some pax (often pax on low fare) are willing to do VDB and receive compensation, which would be around 300 EUR in vouchers I guess (provided that they were delayed by more than 2 hours).

No compensation offered to pax being rerouted via CPH?

no idea about the conditions for the overbooking (that could have been caused by "extra ordinary" circumpstances like the big plane going tech etc. ) but to me it looks like it was not a normal overbooking. I arrived at the gate when the "unlucky passengers" queued to be marked before going to some transfer desk. To me, it seems that it was only C class passengers that certainly did not really want to arrive at 23.30 at BLL... I am usually very much volunteering but even in this case, with a meeting early today, i would have refused. (given the fact that SAS vouchers are almost impossible to use in a practical manner, i wonder how QI vouchers could be...)

I doubt extra-ordinary circumstances apply to overbooking. Only cancellation and delay may be justified by circumstances outside the control of the carrier.

You are right about vouchers on QI. Only if living in DK you may have some prospect of using it. Often QI will be flying for SK so if on SK wet lease flight you should insist on a SK voucher.

I donīt think the ARN-BLL flight is in any way related to SK, so therefore the EBP didnīt make any difference.
Strange procedure anyhows. I would happily have taken the SK via CPH if I was booked on QI in C...
