EBG for 15 years

The latest EuroBonus Traveller magazine in Finland mentions that there are 22 Finnish EuroBonus members who have been Gold constantly from the very beginning of the program.

There must be more in Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Anybody here?

I wonder if these guys received any special perks now that EB turned 15 years old?

PS. Do Finnish Pandions exist?

And I just tried to use them all before they expire (Apr 1). Saved one to my next flight and then I noticed that I might be actually flying Economy Extra (being re-routed and just noticed that it is actually booked in Y).

Welcome to flyertalk BSJ!

Sounds like a nice perk. You have to find someone who takes at least a few trips a year in order for it to be a nice gift.

That actually would count as something special in my book. Nice touch by SAS.

Thanks for contributing, BSJ - and welcome to FT!

Welcome to Flyertalk and the SAS forum, BSJ!

UA offered to give away Premier status (Star Silver) when you requalify for 1K, but this is much better. When did you receive this offer?

The offer came, together with a note of congratulation signed by Mats Jansson, in the beginning of December.

I've heard that some programmes give you gold for life if you've held gold for a certain amount of years. KLM for instance do this I think. That would have been nice!

UA does. When you have flown 1 million BIS miles, it's yours for life. Not 1K, but Premier Executive (*G)

AA also offers Platinum for life at 2 million miles.. Meaning ALL miles you receive, campaign, credit card miles etc etc..

I think there are more

I know this a topic more than I want.
Well I have been Silver in 3 years, why don't the company say: We give you one more year as Silver or (or why not one of Gold)

Didn't SAS give a gold card to members with 5 consecutive years of silver as a special gift during their 10 year anniversary?
