New SAS availability tool - some tips
Ive been faffing with this and had some conversations with the helpdesk and thought i would share some of my findings incase anyone has the same problems as me. This took me ages to understand because LON-SEA flights are fairly scarce and i thought the tool was broken.
When searching for available dates, the availability tool looks +/- 3 days of the date you enter. If you dont get a list of both Outbound and homebound dates then you will have to adjust the date of the list that is missing: eg you get an error saying "No flights were found for one or more selected dates. Please try a new date" and there is no list for outbound, you will need to adjust the outbound date. The list will only be missing if there are no economy and business award seats left +/- 3 days of the date you enter. Allegedly the availability tool is supposed to search for seats between 7 and 349 days of departure but for some reason it searches for days up to 354 days before departure and then you get an error message when you try to book later. Hope this helps some people. |
