CPH/ARN lounges

what are the SK lounges like? i'll be arriving from IAD and have a 2 hour layover in CPH and was wondering what amenities and food to expect in CPH. also, how is the ARN lounge? thanks for your input!

haddon90 Jun 19, 2007 5:57 pm

also, what are the loads looking like for SK926 on 7/3 and SK925 on 7/9?

CPH/ARN Lounges

The CPH lounges are larger and on two levels. They have the traditional SAS blond wood furniture and colorful fabric covered chairs. They have some computers set up for browsing the internet and food and drinks. The last time I was at the CPH lounge, I thought it was looking a tad tired. The lounge complex is centrally located in the main terminal and just beyond passport control. You can't miss them.

At ARN, the international lounge is on the second floor and a bit removed from the rest of the terminal. It's comfortable and like most, has blond wood furniture, computers, drinks etc. They're all pretty much the same. As for me, I prefer the SAS Lounge at Heathrow Terminal 3. It's a joint operated lounge with Air Canada and has lots of periodicals, newspapers, etc.

According to www.seatcounter.com SK 926 shows for July 3:

B C D E H J K M Q S U V W Y Z
SAS 926 A330 IAD/05:25p CPH/07:25a (+1d) 0 9 9 9 5 9 9 5 9 9 5 0 9 9

And SK 925 on July 9 shows everything zeroed out except for C=8.

I hope this helps.

Have a great trip. I would be interested to hear about your trip since I am booked on these flights in the fall - thanks!!

Will you be in the front or the back of the bus??

haddon90 Jun 19, 2007 6:55 pm

oh, back of the bus for sure. but i've done LAX-SYD in Y, so i'm not too worried. if SK needs VDB on 7/9, i wonder what the chances would be of getting back to IAD that day either through LHR, ORD, or even SEA!

does the SK lounge in CPH have showers? i'll be continuing on to GOT, so a shower would be nice even though the flight is only what, 25 minutes?

On Monday, July 9, SK901, the late flight from CPH to EWR is wide open... all classes show 9 seats OPEN!! So, this might be a possibility, you will just need to get from EWR to IAD on a flight after 10 pm - don't know what is available there!!

Good Luck!!

UA 1P = Star Gold status, right?
*Gold members have access to the SAS business lounge as well as the Scandinavian lounge (that lounge only for *Gold, no lowly "normal" people flying in business class ;)), so you can use the showers in the CPH business lounge.

As a 1P you are *G and welcome to the best SAS has to offer: The Scandinavian Lounge with free booze and real wine and beer bottles ;)

Enjoy your break from the RCC :D

haddon90 Jun 20, 2007 9:49 am

just curious, what kind of beers does the SK lounge offer?

haddon90 Jun 20, 2007 10:07 am

is SK the only *A airline with a lounge at CPH? i assume TG and SQ don't have one.
