Hi all,

do the miles rely on the actual flight miles? that means I'm flying 22500 miles in c class of an * partner and I will get double miles?

22500 miles. Seems like a RTW-trip in C. Nice!

On most EB partners you get the number of miles rounded up to nearest 100 and then multiplied with 2 per segment. Some carriers (LH for example) have min and max amounts.

Some carriers, such as AC, only gives 100% miles for discounted business.

Have a nice trip.

I was wondering how it is working in the SAS programm.
I'm flying with TG in Biz. How many europoints do I actually earn?
double?
If that's the case I've owned G with this trip!?

I found that at the SAS page:
...Booking Classes
The Economy points (100%) earning are based on the actual miles flown, rounded up to the nearest 100, except where minimum and maximum points applies.
When using Mileage Calculation in EBMS please observe that the information recieved from CUM only generate Economyclass (100%)....

By the way, what is the EBMS milage calculation?

Thai doesn't have any maximum points, so theoretically 22500 flown miles in C would generate EBG if living in a country with 45000 points as limit.

Please note that the SAS Sales Info pages are intended for internal use as well as use by travel agents, hence many systems which are only accessible by agents are mentioned. A login is actually required (www.sassalesinfo.com), but due to failing security, access seems to be possible to many pages...

AFAIK the EBMS system is an internal management system for SAS sales agents where they can calculate mileage accrual amongst other things. The reference made here is simply to point out that the base mileage is shown, and not 25% or 200% if in other classes.

thanks for your reply! Great forum by the way!!!

what do you mean with theoretical? I guess it's 100% sure that I will earn 200% of the actual flown miles with TG in C class! or not?!

Can I rely on the SAS Sales info page, relating to the % of miles earned with * partners?

Further, what do you mean with maximum points? I thought it will depend on the actual flown miles and a %?!

In general:
If I join the program now and will get the miles in october 07, my *G status is valid till 10/2008--right?
So all miles (hopefully 45k), flown after 10/2007 are necessary to achieve my *G status?!

Thanks for helping me!

This got a little more confusing than necessary...

On Thai Business you get 200% basic Eurobonus points for each mile you actually fly. Like, between CPH and BKK it's 5349 miles. SAS rounds up so you will get 5400 miles x 200%, so 10.800 basic points one way.

http://www.flysas.com/en/EuroBonus/E.../Thai_Airways/

The best tool to use is the Star Alliance Mileage calculator, download it here:

http://www.staralliance.com/en/trave...alculator.html

Forget about sassalesinfo etc. My advice is to keep it simple ;)

It doesn't say on that page, but you can see that the minimum amount of points for F/C is 1200 (200%) in contrast to economy which is 600 (100%).

uups, I didn't think about that!

I found at this page http://www.flysas.com/en/EuroBonus/E...artner/Hotels/

earn basic points with hotels. Does it mean I will earn points to reach a higher level with sleeping in hotels as well?

Just remember that you get basic points at Radisson SAS hotels, Radisson Edwardian and Park Inns only (and a very few Regents and a very few Country Inns and Suites located in Europe).

All other hotel chains give extra points, so they don't count towards status (including all Radissons..)

Mmh.
I'm still waiting for my pin. I registered at the SAS page this morning, received the mail with my EB No. but not the mail with my pin. How long does it actually take to get the pin?

Markus

Markus1301 May 7, 2007 12:20 am

today I found out that I calculated wrong! I just will get 41k. So 4k still missing. Do you guys have an idea of an cheap milage run to get the missing 4k?

Still no PIN email from SAS! I'm wondering if there is something wrong, but I've got my EB No!

Thanks for your help.
