10+ years of flysas.com
I was just browsing the waybackwhen web machine, which keeps copies of previous versions of websites and found quite well preserved copies of flysas.com.
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.flysas.com Makes interesting reading. 598$ in 1996 bought you a return weekend ticket with a hotel stay in CPH,OSL or ARN. :) |
The 1996 Eurobonus FAQ is pretty interesting, looks like some things haven't changed at all:
7. Can I use my points for an upgrade? Very soon. We have an upgrade program under development |

How long has the Star Alliance upgrade been "under development" again? |
Thanks for the link, very interesting read!! I didn't actually know that webpage existed. ^
I also found the webpage of one of my favourite Swedish airlines, Flying Enterprise, which was later merged into Skyways. I flew with them quite a few times in the 90's on the Stockholm/BMA-Visby route and I still remember the very decent inflight service they offered onboard, even on that very short route (roughly 35 mins). Those were the days... :) :( |
Best improvement SAS ever made
To keep up the nostalgy of the good times:
Can we all agree this was the best change SAS ever made and after it has been a downhill (and fast). Unfortunately. |
