New Code Share BKK-SYD Question
I'm flying mixed class: economy on TG SYD to BKK and SK Business to CPH.
My ticket, bought before the code share was announced, shows the SYD-BKK and BKK -SYD legs as a TG flight. What is the advantage, if any, to me as Eurobonus silver (soon to be gold) of the Code share arrangement? Do I get the 15% or 25% bonus points, for example? Thanks in advance. |
The status bonus you only get on SK metal - so it does really not matter whether it is ticketed as TG flight or a SK (code share) in that regard. The question is if you could have gotten a better deal on the ticket if ticketed after the code share agreement was announced - check with your TA.
An interesting aspect is that if you buy economy extra on SK you will get business on the connecting TG flight. For the recerse itin of yours (CPH-SYD) I am currently trying to see if there are any good deals with code share agreement in place. |
Has anyone experience in getting seated in business on connecting TG flight when beeing booked on a SK economy extra ticket?
I have a flight in economy extra OSL-SIN during Easter. The TA said she tought I would be seated in economy on the BKK-SIN leg. How can I request an upgrade on the BKK-CPH leg when I am connecting in BKK? As an EBG, I think the chances for an op-up from eco extra to C-class should be good the last day of Easter. Any experiences? |
I have had a couple of Y to M connections at BKK but all on SK/TG or TG/TG combos - none on SK/SK (codeshare) combo. Asked our TA (Amex) and knew nothing of this deal.
