You can also do ARN-FRA and then FRA-DEN nonstop on LH. It leaves around 2PM from FRA. But if you can get a 100% points fare on SK, I would go with OFFlyers suggestion

Meanwhile, in South-East Asia...

Currently in SIN, later tonight I'll be flying up to PEK, where I'll spend two days before returning to OSL through CPH on of the infamous China tickets on the 29th.

To the point:
On the outbound flight, a couple of lounge attendants let me know that my return flight har long waiting lists (around 50!), and as far as I can tell (I have no EF or KVS (yet)), it is impossible to get tickets on that flight. Therefore, I thought I would volunteer for a VDB, since I (1) don't mind arriving significantly late, and (2) could use a EUR 600 voucher for the summer holidays...

However, absolutely all other flights (LH, SQ, TG) seem to be sold out for that date (and the day after). Can anyone tell me where there might be any open (read: availability in C) re-routings I could "suggest" to the staff at PEK? I don't at all mind taking a long route (points post automatically...)

All suggestions welcome...

Long time no see!

Wow, most everything ex PEK looks full on saturday! Tried some random flights PEK-BKK/VIE/FRA and all are pretty much zeroes only. SU shows availability departing at 11:40 am...

Yeah, I saw that too. Let's just say that SU is not an option...

All the Chinese have a week off starting Monday (May 1st), I suspect that has something to do with all the fully booked flights...

I am flying LAX-ORD-CPH on May 7. Does this count for me, too?

Yes. Just call UA res with a *G or *S in record they should give Econ+ and boarding code 1(*G). Online check-in for UA segment should show this option when printing boarding pass.

You have a flight at 0805 and arrive in the lounge at 0700?! Flying that early I would time my arrival at the airport to 35 minutes before departure.

I don't see any problems with arriving early enough to enjoy the lounge ... I once arrived the lounge at 9am and my flight was at 12am. Of course it wasn't OSL Scandinavian lounge but VS ClubHouse in LHR

Well, sure. Arriving early for a midday or evening flight is one thing. For a morning flight? Something totally different...

I always have huge ambitions when traveling early on an international flight: Taxfree, lounging etc. But I guess I will take the 06.59 train from Nationaltheateret and get in at 0730 after hitting the snooze 2 times.....
