Well, but you also have St.Hans (= Midtsommarsafton) where you basically shut the the whole country for a couple of days

I'm thinking more in terms of how it is actually "celebrated"... It's quite similar...
Swedish and Norwegian midsummer is rather different from eachother! So the Sankthans is more like the Swedish Valborg...

I remember when I was Russ (graduated from high school) two years ago, we cruised all over town in our "Russevan" (called WunderWurst) drinking beer and playing crappy music so loud we had the Police stopping us 4 times during the night of May 1. I even recall one of us falling out of the van (!) while we were driving down from Tryvann/Holmenkollen.

Those were the days...

It's celebrated right across the bridge from you, including in Skane. The Danes living there partake in it too.

Pyromaniacs can get their kick too, in parts.

Looking bleak...

With 8000 points so far, qualifying period ending July 31 and only Norway domestic or award bookings planned in the period my requalification is looking less than likely

BMI will get a fax begging for a *G card methinks...

There appears to be free wifi (SAS-WiPoint) in the LHR lounge now, has this been the case for long? Or am I "trespassing"?

I thought that there is a Star Alliance internal rule not to allow status matches inside the alliance?

Mine started 1 January and the account shows 875 basic points. Haven't flown with SAS since February.

Let's see if I can do 45K on hotel-only. Staying a lot in Radisson SAS Hotels these days, so might get me there. As for flying miles, I am aiming for SEN-11... One can only love the two year periods of LH.

Another membership year starts for me this week too -- just not EB. Only 38k miles for me to keep my *G. That's a breeze to collect.

First you ditched Scandinavia. Now you have ditched SAS for over a month. What's next?
