claiming missing points
Was in paid C ARN - CPH - BJS on Nov 15th. My return flight is next week, and i was checking for alternate return dates and noticed my points from the 15th flight have not registered.
I have performed a futile search of my hotel room, but not found the boarding card..... I do have the "Baggage identification tag" still, so i can at least prove my bags earned the 10k+ points..... This was an e-ticket, booked by a travel agent on the sabre system.... Given the details, any idea if a claim for missing points based on what i can provide will work? I have a sinking feeling here. |
You can register missing SAS flights online on the SAS webpage, the only thing you need (as far as I remember) is the ticket number.
If you don't have the ticket number you can get it by using checkmytrip.com where you just type your name and booking reference, otherwise I'm sure you can just call the travel agent to get it. |
Thanks for the quick reply.
Unfortunately. i dont have a ticket number, I have a PNR and the baggage stub, thats it. It was supposedly a etck on my EB number.... but i guess that might not have been entirely accurate. Unfortunately, as far as i know, checkmytrip.com is only valid for amadeus bookings, and the sabe equiv (virtuallythere.com) cannot provide the ticketing info. (please correct me if i am wrong). kris. |
Well, by exploring virtually there a little more, I managed to find a "eticket reciept" which appears to have the full etck number. (117XXXXXXXXXX)
So i should be able to claim online afterall. It also revealed how much C cost person paying the bill..... ouch. |
The 117-number sounds about right, all SAS ticket numbers start with 117.
Just log onto the webpage and you'll find "Missing points" under "My Eurobonus". I think you have to wait 3-4 weeks though before you're allowed to register. |
I also figure i should probably complete the return leg before i try it. Since it all seems to be on a single ticket number.

Well, EB earnings are on a per-leg-basis and if you checked in at ARN and posted to EB your points should register the next day, even with partner metal. Call SK and make sure your EB number is in the reservation record, otherwise they will correct it and make sure your first legs are posted too as the reservation is still live.

Kjsaw, how did this work out?
I had a similar experience some time ago, where my EB number was not entered when I did the outbound flight. However I did the mistake of entering the number in the reservation when I did the return. Apparently this voided the possibility of afterwards claiming the outbound points on-line, since the system complained that the number was already in the booking. In this case I had to mail in ticket and boarding pass for the first flight by mail afterwards. Had I chosen not to enter my EB number for the return either I could have made an on-line claim afterwards and thus received points for both flights afterwards without hassle. Beats me why they absolutely need the BPs when they do manual registrations, but not for the on-line claims... |

On partner flights I would be more careful and post as much information as possible. One thing they would like to see with the boarding pass is if it has printed some reference to another FFP to prevent double-miles. |
Only got back to sweden on friday (and therefore missed the triple miles op for my return leg by one day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Interesting my return leg has already posted, I tired the online claim with the ticketnumber i got from virtually there, but they system tells me it has a problem with the ticket number (maybe similar to the problem you have where it see miles for that leg are already posted?) So I will be putting the details i have in the mail with their manual form on monday and see what happens. I have a vague hope they will process it during december, and the system will screw up and apply the triple miles offer for me :) |
