First, welcome to the SK forum.

This has of course been discussed all over and the standard reply is that there is no standard answer.

But I am in the exact same situation, I have requalified for EBG three months in to my new qualification period. Meaning I will "throw away" a lot of basic points as I am not aiming for any additional elite level for 3/4 of a year.

I will probably stick to Eurobonus anyhows, since I need the points for upgrading on SK longhaul and I do a lot of Eco Flex intra Europe (you get a lot of points on SK compared to other programs for S class) But some nice coupons or something when requalifying and then every 45K would be appreciated. Tommy777 is on the case, the first meeting with SK is soon, is it not?

Depending on your pattern of flying it might be worth pursing a Miles&More Senator card. It requires 100K miles per year, so it might be hard to qualify for both EuroBonus Gold AND Senator, but if you manage...

I collect points on both; and the main benefit is that Lufthansa Y and B fares gives you 50% more in M&M but not in EB, whilst SAS Y, S and B fares gives you 50% more in both programs. (Flying e.g. CPH-FRA/MUC it is a bit random which airline will operate your flight, so M&M has an overall more "fair" earnings structure.)

Overall benefits are not that different, and you only marginally gain something from having two cards. The only current benefit is that LH is a part of the *A upgrade-for-points scheme, whereas SK is not just yet. Once you can use points for upgrades across the board I'd say there is little or no point in having more than one *G. Oh, that is if you are not flying to the US a zillion times a year like tommy777 does, if you do then UA MileagePlus might be worth a try.
