Any simple ways to earn 300 Extra points?
 

I'm 300 points short of the 12000 points required to redeem an intra-Scandinavian award. As I do all my flying with OW (and United if I absolutely have to), I don't anticipate flying with SK at all. Also I am not planning to spend any nights in the rather limited hotel options, so I was wondering there are any surveys to fill out or other non-flying options to earn the missing 300 points? I suppose I could fly HEL-KUO or HEL-STO but that sort of defeats the purpose of the award (planning to fly HEL-STO, OSL-HEL).

Don't really think there are any specific non-flying options or surveys which would give you those remaining 300 points.
If you are a Scandinavian resident you can have a co-branded Diners club card and transfer your points to EB.
Otherwise it's mostly about flights, hotel stays and car rentals.

If you spend a night at a Radisson in the US you earn 500 extra points which would secure you award ticket though, but it sounded like you didn't want to do that.

And regarding "the limited hotel options", this does not necessarily apply if you travel in Scandinavia or northern Europe (which I presume most EB members do) as you will find at least one hotel in every capital or basically in any other larger city where you can earn points on your stay.

Starting 31 October, you will earn 500 points for bonus trips booked online. I think you will still need to have the full required amount of points for the award in your account however, with the bonus credited as a separate transaction. Therefore this would probably not work for your purposes.

Maybe you can do a really short hop with UA/US?

An open jaw is possible on award, you can even have the open jaw between different countries like:

ARN-CPH-MIL // NYC-FRA-ARN

You will ofcourse pay for the most expensive leg of the journey.

Sorry, was thinking about the online booking engine, which doesn't allow you to book open jaw.

You could allways buy the missing points...
